Noise Management

We’re discovering new targets and developing first-in-class noise reduction solutions for industrial applications.

Forging new directions in approaching noise

All of our work revolves around identifying and disrupting noise emission pathways activated by the industrial processes.
We maintain low noise exposures and enable companies to be in charge of their industrial impact by implementing noise control and noise management solutions.
We believe that a balanced environment may be achieved by coupling a deep understanding of the effects of noise with the application of technologically advanced tools.
The question of technical and economic competitiveness is another valid reason for addressing noise pollution at the international level.

Our Approach

Acoustic Model
2.Acoustic models helps us to determine the ranking of noise sources, which is the basic tool for identifying noise sources that require silencing in the first place. It is also very helpful tool for setting the guidelines for different variants of acoustic maps and for evaluating the effectiveness of applied solution.
Noise reduction strategy
3.Based on the prepared models, we run acoustic and vibroacoustic simulations using COMSOL Multiphysics. It allows us to simulate how our proposed solutions will adapt in real conditions. In the next step we present several options of a noise reduction strategy that allows to carry out planned modernisation in the most optimal way.
Guaranteed solutions
4.We tailor each of the proposed solutions to our clients needs. We verify it under economical, technical and safety criteria to deliver guaranteed performance on the project.
Diagnosis of initial state
1.We start the process by performing acoustic measurements. Using state-of-the-art on technology and methods, we define the main sources of noise emissions, which affect the exceeded permissible levels. At the next step, we process measurement results and determine the basic noise assessment indicators at workplaces, and then we determine the values of exceedances. Developed measurement results are the input data for designing of the acoustic model.

Noise pollution, top burning issue nowadays.

Noise pollution is considered to be any unwanted or disturbing sound that affects the health and well-being of humans and other organisms. Occupational noise, or industrial noise, is the one that people experience in their work environment. The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified noise (traffic noise, noise of road, rail and air traffic), as the second most important cause of ill health in Western Europe, behind only air pollution caused by very fine particulate matter.

Noise, as one of the most burdensome and distracting factors, affects people in both physiological and psychological ways, interfering with basic activities such as work, sleep, rest, study and communication. Health effects include increased risk of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, myocardial infarction and even stroke.

Industrial noise could be minimised by implementing noise control and noise management. The goal of noise management is to maintain low noise exposures, such that human health and well-being are protected. It is cruciual part of environmental health programmes. Engineers and researchers still don’t know everything about the effects of sound on living things, but they know how to make the world substantially less noisy. Check what is noise managment in practice.
