Acoustic project of an industrial plant

Modern investors carry out activities aimed at determining the risk related to noise at the stage of designing factories. Close cooperation of acousticians with the project team allows for early response to potentially problematic situations. The aim of the project was to asses noise level at work stations of an industrial plant at the design stage.

The client’s need was to define acoustic requirements for building partitions, interiors and machines in the designed industrial plant. The client specified the maximum permissible noise level at all work stations and specified the number and type of machinery used in industrial halls.

As a part of the acoustic analysis, we developed a set of guidelines for acoustic partitions and acoustic adaptation of the designed building’s interior as well as permissible level of acoustic power of machines in order to ensure adherence to relevant standards at workstations.

The project team was composed of 1 project manager and 3 acoustic specialists. Software used for this project was Odeon Industrial, SketchUp, MS Office and WinFlag.
