KFB conducted extensive measurements at workstations at the relevant plants and facilities. Utilizing tools such as SVAN sound level meters, a GFAI acoustic camera, and the Odeon Industrial acoustic simulation program, comprehensive acoustic analyses were performed.
These analyses allowed for a thorough understanding of the noise distribution, identifying specific machines and areas that exceeded permissible noise levels, and indication of a properly selected noise reduction strategy.
b) Implementation of Acoustic Solutions:
Based on the findings of the acoustic analyses, KFB Acoustics implemented a range of targeted acoustic solutions on the client’s site. These solutions included:
- Acoustic enclosures: Enclosing noisy machinery and equipment within specially designed structures to contain noise emissions.
- Acoustic silencers: Installing silencers on exhaust systems and ventilation ducts to mitigate noise propagation.
- Acoustic screens: Erecting barriers and screens to block and absorb noise, particularly in areas where noise sources were concentrated.
- Soundproofing cabins: Constructing soundproof cabins or rooms to isolate employees from high-noise environments.
- Acoustic adaptations of ceilings and walls: Applying acoustic materials and treatments to ceilings and walls to enhance sound absorption and reduce reflections.
