Building Acoustics

We carry out projects related to the insulation of building partitions and their elements, vibration isolation of rooms and buildings and also noise transmitted inside and outside the building.

How do we stand out?

We use the latest simulation techniques to allow you to hear the difference in sound perception in the designed or modernized interior depending on the acoustic properties of the interior.
The simulation results are interpreted by experienced acousticians. We perform measurements to verify the created model.
We offer the possibility of "listening" to the space before it is built. We create a binaural auralization which is then reproduced using headphones.
We use advanced simulation programs that allow you to simulate the sound of an orchestra, speech or any other source in a selected room and in any position.

Our Services

  • Assessment and prediction of sound insulation

    • Rating and measurements of airborne and impact sound insulation in buildings and of building elements.
    • Verification of construction projects in terms of compliance with statutory and normative acoustic requirements or according to the client’s needs.
    • Presentation of the results and conclusions in a form of perspicuous reports.

  • Measurement techniques for airborne and impact sound

    • In situ measurements of airborne sound insulation and impact noise using pressure methods.
    • Measurements with the use of intensity probe allow locating “a leak” and areas with reduced acoustic insulation in existing partitions.
    • Laboratory measurements.
    • During our measurements we use specialized equipment.
  • Acoustic simulations

    • Simulation assessment of the increase in insulation by using additional layers of acoustic materials. This approach allows using only these solutions that guarantee the desired increases in insulation.
    • Specialized software:
      • SonArchitect – for modelling acoustic in buildings.
      • Insul – for modelling acoustic insulation of building partitions.
      • WinFlag – for modelling sound-absorbing acoustical systems.
  • Auralization

The acoustic presentation is realized by recreating different sounds in a given, simulated interior on headphones. This allows, among other things, to decide what acoustic adaptation of the interior will be required in a real building as soon as at the investment stage.

We offer the possibility of “listening” to the space before it is built. We create a binaural auralization which is then reproduced using headphones.

  • Practical solutions for building details

    • Solving problems related to insulation of building partitions and their elements.
    • Wall constructions.
    • Vibration isolation of floor and ceilings.
  • Consulting

    • Participation by professionals in the investment process from the stage of spatial planning, through noise protection projects and the shaping of reverberation conditions in rooms, to postconstruction measurements of building acoustics.
    • Verification of construction projects in terms of compliance with statutory and normative acoustic requirements or according to the client’s wishes.
    • Planning and acoustic zoning.

Why is building acoustics so important?

Building acoustics is the science of controlling noise in buildings. This includes the minimisation
of noise transmission from one space to other, the control of sound propagation in a confined
space and characteristics of sound wthin spaces themselvec.

This can be achieved with materials, design and acoustic techniques.
Why is building acoustics so important?

Acoustics can have a huge impact on health, wellbeing, communication and productivity.
Acoustics, “sound quality” can be particular importance in rooms such as recording studios,
concert halls, lecture halls, room type open space, offices and so on, where the quality
of sound and its intelligibility are very important.

The acoustics of the building / room are influenced, among others, by:

  • geometry and volume of space,
  • sound absorption in space,
  • transmission airbone sound between spaces,
  • transmission impact sounds between spaces,
  • transmission and reflection characteristics of surfaces enclosing the space and within the space,
  • the generation of sound inside or outside the space, etc.
"Next level of technical innovation. This close partnership strengthens our product development in terms of acoustic optimization and paves the way to the next level."
